Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Cosmic Overdose! This is music coming at you from all directions at the same time. It has punk and new wave wibes combined with synths and drum machines. It also has some psychedelia and madness thrown in the mix.
Cosmic Overdose was a swedish band that was created by Dan Söderqvist och Ingemar Ljungström in Göteborg 1977. They released their first single, Observation galen in 1979. The album Dada koko was released in 1980. At that time the band had been reinforced with the addition of Kjell Karlgren from the band Ragnarök. Kjell did'nt last long in the band and was replaced the same year by Thomas Andersson.
The band only lasted until 1981 and released on more albun entitled 4668. Then they reformed as Twice a man and started top play more ambient synth music with english lyrics.
Dada koko is a very cool and interesting album. The broad combination of influences and lyrics in swedish makes this band quite unique. The album is filled with great songs such as Investera, 1980-30, Puppan and Turs. My favorite track is Moderna dadaister.
