B Dog food
Venus & the Razorblades was the creation of Kim Fowley, a producer, manager who started writing novelty songs like Alley Oop in the 60's. In the mid 70's he created the band The Runaways where Joan Jett and Lita Ford started their careers.
Kim Fowley is quite a character who seems quite cynical, provocative and intellectual at the same time. There is also a darkness present and you have to wonder if his taste for very young girl performers is something more then a selling argument. But he also seems to have an eye for real talent.
Kim also chose to do a cover of a Runaways song for the first single, I want to be where the boys are. A really good song, but The Runaways has the better version.
The b-side Dog food is a straight rock'n'roll song. The lyrics could be inspired from when Kim used to heckle and abuse The Runaways in the studio by calling them names like dog poop and dog cunt to make them work harder.

B Press conference
On the second single Kim tries to cash in on the new and booming punk scene. Not sure if it's Kim himself sharing the vocal with the girls, or if it's the bands guitarist Steven T, the only male member of the band (not counting Kim).
But I must admit that I really like the song Punk-a-rama. It's more rock'n'roll then punk, but it has the right attitude and edge to it. "Burn down the school if I could, blow up the neighbour hood, this is punk-a-rama"
The b-side is sound from what seems to ba a faked(?) press conference.

B Midnight
On this cover you only have Kim Fowley and the young singer Dyan Diamond. Where is the band? Was there ever a band?
The band was probably only smoke and mirrors and a way for Kim to market his music. But the talent of singer Dyan Diamond is real and I think she sounds amazing on this recording. All this voice at the age of 15! She relesed an album under her own name on MCA later in 1978 called In the dark. Sadly it seems like she had to stay in the dark and she never broke through commercially.
