This is a release from 1987 by brothers Jean-Marc and Pierre Pauly. Occaasionally they worked with Daniel B and Patrick Codeny from Front 242 and has therfore become associated with the EBM scene.
This release has very little to do with EBM though. I would say that they sound more like a synthezised Joy Division with the same flair for melancholy, beautiful melodies and tasteful guitars.
The immediate hit is Gold rush with it's octave bassline and great melody. It sticks like glue and should be an obvious floorfiller at the disco. But the song that really captures my heart is Moans. It has some relly cool synths and guitars that seems to be slightly out of tune and a very beautiful and melancholy melody that has an almost desperate quality. A really cool song that I often listen to.
This is overall a kick ass EP with four very good songs. I am really happy that I am going to see this band perform live tomorrow (111001) at Bodyfest in Stockholm.
Bought my copy at Tradera and payed 11,72 €.
