Stranded Rekords was founded in 1979 by Klas Lunding as a continuation of the fanzine Stranded. It began as a part of the swedish punk scene with artists as Incest Brothers and Travolta Kids. It soon left the punk scene and headed in the opposite direction. The new motto was "stil, skönhet och elegans" (style beauty and elegance). It became the home for artists such as Lustans Lakejer and Ratata. In 1984 the company was sold to Stickan Andersson at Polar, and in 1986 Stranded was history...
In 2010 the company was revived and Klas Lunding is back at the helm together with Ismail Samie. They have now signed with prominent artistslike Håkan Hellström, Anna Järvinen and more.
37 minuter i Stockholms City was released in 1982 and is a sampler with some very interesting swedish pop music and artists. One of the bands on this record is Zzzang Thumb where the sisters Irma and Idde Schulz started their careers. Both Zzzang songs are good and Pentagon Pop is one of the best tracks on the album.
Another cool band on this sampler is Kitchen & The Plastic Spoons, wich is a band that I really like. Filmen is not one of their best songs though.
One of the members of Kitchen & The Plastic Spoons, Iodine Jupiter, is also involved with the track Cowboy. A little pretaste of the direction he would take later, when he released Lilla flickan zombie in 1995.
My personal favorite from this record is the song 200 män from Helikoptern. This is a really catchy pop song with great vocals. The song 491 with Reporter is also very good.
Was really hard to find a youtube clip. Finally found this one :D
