Celebrating 10 years of Container 90, the band releases two quite unusual C90 tracks. The two tracks are an hommage to Kraftwerk and released under the bandname Der Container Klang. I know it's a bit confuzing... but never mind. The two songs are given away for free during January. So get over to Sham recordings and start the download. Sham Recordings. We have just finished a new video with my band Batch ID for the song Ni skrämmer inte mig. The video is animated with the PS3 game WWE'13. Jan from Kropp The Zone invited us to a real EBM-evening on December first. The club uses the same place, Jazzhuset, as Romo Night. A really great place for smaller venuses with a homey feeling. First onstage this evening were the Gustavsson brothers with their band Kropp. I really like Kropp and their music. It's no fuzz, minimal EBM in the vein of DAF. Drums, a funky baseline and lyrics is all that this band needs to make really good and groovy music. It's also really nice to see Bengt behind a real classical drumkit, giving the songs a live swing that forces your body to move and dance. Kropp got best response during the song Vad ska du ha på dig i kväll? with the whole audience dancing and shouting the lyrics. We even got that song twice as they choose to do it again during the encore. Ekobrottsmyndigheten & happy crowd. Next up was Ekobrottsmyndigheten who had filled the room with happy fans ready to dance and sing along with the band. The band was in party mood and their catchy songs seemed familiar to most of the crowd. Personal favorites from the set was Jimmy and Kängdans. Really nice that so many in party mood showed up to support the bands. The Zone had managed to put on a really good fiesta and I hope that they will keep up the good job in the future. Tanz! This is the kind of music that makes me wanna go clubbin'. Hard pounding ebm basses with a cool techno beat. The perfect mix between modern and oldschool. K-Nitrate started in 1993 and released the debut Xenophobia in 1994. During the first years the band had an industrial sound and the songs had vocals and guitars. Stark Punkt was released in september 2011 by Armalyte Industries. Since the release Voltage in 2010 the band has gotten more dance oriented. The guitars are gone and most of the songs have no traditional vocals. This works very well for the dancefloor, but for home listening the album gets a bit monotone after a while. The song Hate in The States is the exception having vocals by Douglas (Dog) Sudia. Although I really love the music I wish there were more songs with traditional vocals. My favorite tracks are I.E.D. and Hate in the states. Let's go clubbin'! K-Nitrate Armalyte Industries How can I have missed this. Lots of freebies from a multitude of bands from all over. The bands gave away their music for free to celebrate the international EBM-day on february 24. You can download two compilations from EBM Unidos y Fuertes. Stomping Before Apocalypse Vol.1 Stomping Before Apocalypse Vol.2 Since a few years back february 24:th has been declared the international EBM-day. The obvious reason being the numerical connection to Front 242 (24/2). Just another reason for fans of EBM to gather and listen and party to their favorite music. Since I have to work this evening I'm planning to make a CD-compilation of some of my favorite tracks and force my co-workers to listen to EBM all night long. Happy EBM-Day! It is finally here, the new album by Swedish EBM-act Spark! Hela din värld is the logic continuation of the previous album Ett lejon i dig. The band continue to combine melodic pop with effective EBM. And I am also the happy recipient of the ltd version with the earlier releases 65 ton stål and Epos EP on a bonus CDr. Extra cool since I miss the Epos EP in my Spark! collection. Beware! If you listen to the track Tankens Mirakel it will get stuck in your head and you will hear the chorus in your brain all day long. |
