B2 Land of confusion
Vomito Negro is one of my favorite bands. Stay alive is an early release from the band from 1987. The band in those days were Gin Devo, Guy Van Mieghem and Mario Vaerewijck. Vomito Negro has always been Gin Devo's child, and he released material with the band as late as 2010.
Vomito Negro is not a straight forward EBM-band for the dancefloor. The sound is rather primitive and industrial. Alot of songs are experimental and noise oriented, the B-sides song Where's Palmer is a good example of this. The producer on this release was Chrismar Chayell of A Split Second.
My favorite track from this release is the title track, Stay Alive. It has a raw sound, but the melody is catchy and it works for the dancefloor. The song Burn my heart is also very good.
I bought my copy through Discogs and payed 16 €.
